Teams are reluctant to cut fifth-round picks, so Moss should be in good shape for a roster spot. But nothing is guaranteed with a crowd of defensive ends on the roster. Jason Pierre-Paul and Olivier Vernon return as the starters, while Romeo Okwara has a strong grasp on the top backup spot. After that, it'll be a wide-open competition between Moss, Kerry Wynn, Devin Taylor, Owa Odighizuwa and others.
Moss is a bit of a wild card. There doesn't figure to be much opportunity for playing time for backup defensive ends based on the workloads of Pierre-Paul and Vernon last season.
