Ihenacho had 54 tackles in 15 games, including 10 starts for the Redskins. Ihenacho, who can play both safety positions, graded much better in coverage than against the run last season.
Ihenacho joined the Giants midway through the offseason program, so he spent most of the spring working with the third-team as he learned the defense. The veteran shouldn't have any trouble getting up to speed quickly and he'll need to in order to make up ground during the preseason. If Ihenacho makes the team, he would likely see most of his action on special teams.
