Giants roster countdown, No. 32: Will hard-hitting safety Nat Berhe have a spot?

Related Topics: Nat Berhe

Berhe is one of five safeties on the roster with at least one career NFL start. That is of note because the Giants carried just four safeties last year, and Berhe's status going forward is somewhat unclear given his injury struggles. Berhe missed the entire 2015 season due to a calf injury and missed 10 games last year with concussions.

Berhe is scheduled to male $690,000 in the final year of his rookie deal. The Giants would recoup the entire cap hit if they waived Berhe at the end of the preseason.

Berhe appeared in seven games with two starts, making 18 tackles with a forced fumble and a pass defense.
