Robinson is back for another season as the Giants' apparent top coverage linebacker and a key player in their nickel packages. The big question is whether his role may expand in 2017 after a year in the system.
Robinson turned down multi-year offers elsewhere to re-sign a one-year, $3 million deal with the Giants. Robinson is guaranteed $2 million and has a base salary of $1.5 million. Robinson has already collected a $1 million roster bonus and $1 million of his base is also guaranteed. Incentives and per game roster bonuses could stretch the deal to $4 million.
