LANDOVER, Md. -- New York Giants rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers had the first touchdown reception of his career late in the first half of Sunday's matchup with the Washington Commanders at Northwest Stadium.

Nabers, the No. 6 overall pick in this year's draft out of LSU, lined up on the left side of the formation with 12 seconds remaining in the second quarter.

He ran across the field unguarded and easily corralled a pass in the middle of the end zone from quarterback Daniel Jones as he tumbled to the ground for the four-yard score to give New York a 12-9 lead.
