Giants rookie Evan Engram makes strong first impression on veteran teammates

BAYONNE -- Giants long snapper Zak DeOssie is still learning the names of the team's draft picks. But DeOssie didn't need a program to recognize first-round pick Evan Engram's signature attribute in the first Organized Team Activity (OTA) of the offseason on Monday.

"The first-rounder, Rookie No. 1, he's got speed for days," DeOssie said at the Newark Mentoring Movement golf outing at the Bayonne Golf Club on Monday.

Engram's speed - he ran a 4.42-second 40-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine in March - is a big reason the Giants used the 23rd pick in the draft on the 6-foot-3, 236-pound tight end.
