EAST RUTHERFORD -- Giants defensive tackle Jay Bromley avoided a major injury when his knee was rolled up on during Saturday's preseason game against the Jets. But Bromley doesn't know if he'll be ready for the season opener at Dallas on Sept. 10, so rookie Dalvin Tomlinson could start next to Damon Harrison on the Giants' star-studded defensive line.
"I feel like I'm ready," Tomlinson said. "I'm up to the challenge. They picked me to come here and play as a dominant defensive lineman. That's what I plan to do."
Giants coach Ben McAdoo expressed a similar level of confidence in the second-round pick.
