EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — Giants defensive end Romeo Okwara rarely leaves home without his camera. One of them, at least.
He owns a slick Canon, a Leica manual rangefinder and, as of Christmas, a Polaroid. He does not recall what sparked his interest in photography, or when it started, only that he enjoys capturing a sliver in time — streetscapes, vistas, people — and securing it forever.
In virtually the click of a camera shutter, Okwara has gone from not being picked in the N.F.L. draft to starting for one of the league’s stingiest defenses.
