Just like that, the Giants are in business.
They can rest up this weekend, watch other teams knock heads and get sprains and strains, as they sit back and heal. They managed to inelegantly find their first victory of the season, 32-21, over the Redskins on Thursday night, and did it without five starting players: Ereck Flowers, Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, Robert Ayers, Markus Kuhn and Victor Cruz.
That means the Giants found a way to win without their rookie left tackle (Flowers), their speedy cover cornerback (Rodgers-Cromartie) and their best pass-rusher (Ayers) – players they’ve come to count on early in this season.
