Despite the fact that the New York Giants signed wide receiver Kenny Golladay in free agency, there’s still a good chance they could select one within the first few rounds of the 2021 NFL Draft.
Jordan Raanan of ESPN mentioned during his Breaking Big Blue podcast that the Giants are “intrigued” by Alabama wide receivers Devonta Smith and Jaylen Waddle. I can’t say I’m surprised by this with a recent report that general manager Dave Gettleman really likes Smith.
If the Giants do end up using the 11th overall pick on either Smith or Waddle, I would imagine that would mean that Darius Slayton would fall down the depth chart all the way from being the Giants’ second receiver to the fourth receiver.
