The New York Giants have reportedly filled another spot on Pat Shurmur’s coaching staff, hiring Hal Hunter to coach the offensive line.
Since they were hired, both Shurmur and new general manager Dave Gettleman have emphasized the importance of rebuilding the offensive line, a weakness for the Giants in recent seasons.
The 58-year-old Hunter began coaching in 1982, and his first NFL job was as offensive line coach of the San Diego Chargers. He was with the Chargers from 2006-2012, and was the team’s offensive coordinator during his final season there.
