LONDON — Robbie Gould is a Cubs fan. A devout Cubs fan. But he was not in the United States and had to prepare for his first game kicking for the Giants, and so Gould was sleeping in England when the Cubbies were clinching the National League pennant.
“Over here I haven’t been able to get into a good sleeping pattern,’’ Gould said Sunday after the Giants beat the Rams, 17-10. “I woke up at like 3 in the morning, checked a score and they won, I was like, that’s pretty sweet. Then I checked the Penn State score and had to double-take whenever they beat Ohio State.
