Steve Weatherford, the Giants' punter for the last four seasons, has been cut, according to a source.
The move happened Friday, and it was not a complete surprise. Coach Tom Coughlin had hinted that Weatherford was on the hot seat over the last two weeks, first suggesting that the veteran punter was in competition with training camp punter Robert Malone, and then, when Malone was cut on Tuesday, stating that a free agent punter could also come steal Weatherford's job.

It appears that Weatherford's replacement may be Brad Wing, the Pittsburgh Steelers punter and a former Australian Rules Football Player.
