The Giants lead the Washington Redskins 34-0 after the first half of football.
The second game between Washington and the Giants got off about as expected given the injuries suffered by both offenses.
New York won the opening coin toss and elected to defer, giving the ball to Washington to start the afternoon. The Giants’ defense quickly capitalized on offensive miscues to end Washington’s first drive, getting the ball to the Giants’ offense. Unfortunately, Washington did the same, and the first quarter was largely defined by sloppy offensive play.
The Giants drew first blood when Kareem Martin tipped a Mark Sanchez pass and turning into an arm-punt, with Curtis Riley fielding the easy interception and returning it for a touchdown.
