Giants RB Rashad Jenning says he was told not to score

Leave it to the Giants, fast becoming New York's most bungling football team, to debut the worst possible brand of "prevent offense" against the Dallas Cowboys.

Before handsomely paid QB Eli Manning threw the ball out of the back of the end zone (leaving Cowboys QB Tony Romo plenty of time to drive for the game-winning score in the Giants' 27-26 heartbreaker Sunday night), the Giants had made an even more foolish error on second down.

On second-and-goal from the 2, with 1:50 left in the game and the Giants nursing a 23-20 edge, according to ESPN, running back Rashad Jennings was told not to try to score a touchdown.
