Giants’ playoff dream dies in an offensive disaster

Momentum: Ended. Offensive rebirth: Stopped cold. Feel-good Eli Manning resurgence: Halted. Saquon Barkley dominance: Interrupted.

In what turned out to be a near-pointless Sunday afternoon, the Giants played in the rain and accomplished little, other than getting wet, in a listless and impotent offensive display in front of mostly empty gray seats at MetLife Stadium. As a result of a 17-0 loss to the Titans, the Giants can finally put to bed the misguided notion they could make a historic run and qualify for the playoffs. They are now officially eliminated.

This franchise must now face the realization it is ensured of another losing season.
