The New York Giants have placed LB J.T. Thomas on the active/physically unable to perform list on Friday, according to James Kratch.
The Giants can activate him at any time from the list once he’s healthy and ready to practice.
Thomas, 28, is a former sixth-round pick of the Bears back in 2011. He spent a few years in Chicago before joining the Jaguars in 2013 and later signing a three-year, $10 million contract that included $4.5 million guaranteed back in 2015.
Thomas is in the final year of his contract and stands to make a base salary of $2.
