After missing the past few game, the New York Giants were hoping to get running back Devonta Freeman back for Sunday’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Instead, he will be out at least another three weeks.
Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reported on Friday that Freeman has been now been placed on injured reserve after suffering a hamstring injury on top of his ankle injury.
With Freeman out, the Giants will of course sign Alfred Morris from their practice squad to their active 53-man roster for the third time this season. This will be the final time the Giants can do so.
