EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — The New York Giants completed their preseason on Thursday, losing to the New England Patriots 17-12.
Giants’ starters on both offense and defense had the night off, leaving the game to second-team players and guys fighting for some of the final spots on the 53-man roster. NFL teams have to trim their rosters from the 90-man preseason limit to 53 players by 4 p.m. ET on Saturday.
Kyle Lauletta, starting at quarterback with neither Eli Manning nor Davis Webb playing, completed 8-of-19 passes for 118 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions.
