In a surprise move the New York Giants have decided to part with senior director of football information Jon Berger after he spent the last 40 years with the organization. He was hired back in 1981.
Over the years Berger has helped Giants’ coaches and front office with research and analysis. He was essentially their first analytics person within the organization.
It sounds like Berger and the Giants agreed that it was time for him to move on.
“I thoroughly enjoyed my tenure with the Giants,” Berger told Dan Duggan of The Athletic. “Met some amazing people along the way and have so many incredible memories.
