HOUSTON — At least one of the Giants’ owners thinks Big Blue could name Tom Coughlin’s replacement by the end of this week.
Co-owner Steve Tisch laid out that aggressive timetable Tuesday while speaking to reporters at the end of the special NFL meeting that approved the Rams’ move back to Los Angeles.
“We’ve seen about six great candidates,” Tisch said. “John [Mara] and I hope to resolve it by the end of the week, and I think we can.”
The Giants have an interview scheduled Wednesday with Bengals offensive coordinator Hue Jackson, who is expected to get a head-coaching offer from the Browns after interviewing twice with Cleveland the past two days.
