NEW YORK -- Giants co-owner John Mara was asked for his reaction to the constant criticism from President Donald Trump about the NFL's decision not to require players to stand for the national anthem.
"I'm shocked," Mara said sardonically at the NFL's fall owners meeting on Wednesday. "I don't have any reaction to that."
Owners, players and commissioner Roger Goodell met in Manhattan this week to address the national anthem protests that have drawn the ire of Trump, who has demanded that the NFL require players to stand for the anthem.
