The New York Giants offense had a rough night against the Cleveland Browns. There is plenty to parse and sort through when it comes to the offense’s performance, but the story of the game was the hit on Odell Beckham Jr.
Beckham’s injury is currently being called a “slight ankle sprain”, but it was very nearly worse. Browns’ safety Briean Boddy-Calhoun hit Beckham on the side of his leg as he was coming down with the ball. A fraction of a second either later (and that much more weight on that leg) could have spelled a season-ending injury.
