Eli Manning has made it clear he does not want the Giants to part with offensive coordinator Ben McAdoo. He surely doesn’t want his offensive coordinator to end up with another team in the NFC East.
Yet the door to that scenario may be open, because the 38-year-old McAdoo is reportedly a candidate to become the next head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles.
McAdoo is “among the candidates the Eagles will consider pursuing," according to Fox Sports, as they begin their search to replace the fired Chip Kelly. And that’s not surprising since the McAdoo has been a head coaching candidate before and, in an otherwise terrible year for the Giants, he led them to the eighth-ranked offense in the NFL.
