On the field, the Giants’ new $62 million offensive lineman will protect Eli Manning.
But off the gridiron, former Patriots star Nate Solder faces a far greater challenge — helping his 2-year-old son as the tot battles kidney cancer.
Tiny Hudson was just 3 months old when Solder and his wife, Lexi, discovered the lump on the baby’s belly as they gave him a bath in October 2015.
Solder himself had won a battle against testicular cancer just the previous year.
“I felt like I had caused it,” the 6-foot-8, 325-pound lineman told the “Today” show last month of the horrible diagnosis.
