Giants' Michael Thomas stands for anthem: Preseason is 'opportunity to right the wrongs' of past

Michael Thomas stood at the very end of the row of Giants all acting in unison as the national anthem played Thursday night at MetLife Stadium.

More than 1,200 miles away, two members of his former team (Dolphins) took a knee -- the same position he was in the last two seasons -- and continued protest of social injustice and racism.

"For me and for the guys who are involved and are passionate, we know the NFL and NFLPA are in discussions," Thomas told NJ Advance Media.

"Out of respect for them, I chose not to do anything today.
