After his first season with the New York Giants, it looks like assistant coach Freddie Kitchens is getting a promotion after serving as the tight ends coach in 2020.
Jordan Raanan of ESPN reported that Kitchens has been promoted to senior offensive assistant.
Former University of Tennessee and Louisiana Tech head coach Derek Dooley will take over as the Giants’ tight ends coach. He served as the team’s senior offensive assistant last season.
Dooley is a coach that has been all over college and the NFL and has a lot of experience. I’m sure he’s also waiting for another college head coaching opportunity the way Bret Bielema was.
