NEW ORLEANS -- The wildest of games turned into the most gut-wrenching of Giants losses.
After getting the ball with 30 seconds left and a chance to drive for the game-winning points, the Giants were forced to punt after a pair of dropped passes. Punter Brad Wing was flagged for a facemask penalty on a scramble for a fumble on the punt return with five seconds left, which gave the Saints the ball at the Giants' 32. That allowed Kai Forbath to come out and kick a 50-yard field goal to give New Orleans a 52-49 victory.
After a record-setting offensive game, the Giants took their first lead of the second half on, of all things, a defensive touchdown.
