EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. - Longtime long snapper Zak DeOssie was placed on injured reserve Saturday, ending his season and perhaps New York Giants career. Colin Holba was signed from the practice squad to take his spot on the roster.
DeOssie popped up on the injury report this week with knee and wrist injuries after struggling badly with his snaps in recent weeks. He bowled one back to holder Riley Dixon on a field-goal attempt in last Sunday's loss in Chicago.
Tests revealed torn meniscus in DeOssie's knee this week, according to a source.
