The Ravens released offensive tackle Eugene Monroe on Wednesday, and his next stop could be the, ahem, greener pastures of the Meadowlands.
The Giants are pegged as the primary suitor for Monroe, after ESPN reported they held trade talks with the Ravens about Monroe prior to his release. The Chargers and Seahawks also could be interested, per ESPN.
The Giants currently have the much-maligned Marshall Newhouse atop the depth chart at right tackle.
The 29-year-old Monroe, out of Plainfield, NJ, spent his first four and a half NFL seasons with the Jaguars before being traded to Baltimore during the 2013 season.
