Jonathan Casillas' journey has taken him from the gridiron at New Brunswick High School to Division I college stadiums to the bright lights of two Super Bowls.
On Tuesday, he returned to where it all started: Jersey City.
The New York Giants linebacker and two-time Super Bowl champion visited Barack Obama School 34 in Jersey City and fielded questions from students on life and his career in the NFL.
Casillas, 29, was born and raised in Jersey City but moved to New Brunswick where he attended high school and picked up football. From there, he earned a scholarship at the University of Wisconsin and was signed as an undrafted free agent by the New Orleans Saints in 2009.
