Jon Beason is sitting out again.
The Giants' injury-prone middle linebacker, who has been nursing a knee injury and was listed with an ankle injury throughout last week, was inactive for Sunday's game against the Saints in New Orleans. Beason has only played in five of the Giants' seven games this season, and he left one of those games (the Week 5 win over San Francisco) after just three snaps.
With Beason out, the Giants turned to Cowboys castoff Jasper Brinkley as their starter at middle linebacker. It was Brinkley's first start of the season, and the veteran seemed to pass Uani 'Unga, the regular second-string middle linebacker, in the pecking order.
