After six seasons sporting the number 52, New York Giants veteran linebacker Alec Ogletree will switch digits for the 2019 season.
Ogletree will switch numbers with undrafted free agent signee linebacker Jake Carlock. Meanwhile, another undrafted free agent signee, tight end C.J. Conrad, is also wearing 47 in camp. That means Conrad will have to find new digits if he makes the team.
“It felt like I had done all I could do in the number 52,” Ogletree told Giants.com’s Dan Salomone.
But why number 47?
