Giants’ Larry Donnell blasted out of game on brutal blow

For a Giants offense that has looked like a punching bag for the Vikings’ menacing defense in the first half of Monday night’s game, tight end Larry Donnell took the brunt of the pummeling.

Giants trainers evaluated Donnell on the sideline early in the second quarter after he was run over by Vikings linebacker Anthony Barr in a helmet-to-helmet collision during a pass-blocking play. Looking dazed upon impact, Donnell bounced around a few of his teammates before making his way to the Giants bench.

Donnell left the game with a concussion and will not return, the Giants announced.
