More precisely, they slipped through Kaelin Clay's fingers.
Claimed off waivers from the Bills by the Giants exactly one week earlier, Clay muffed a punt at the 21-yard line that was recovered by the Jaguars, who were able to kneel down twice and secure a 20-15 victory at MetLife Stadium.
"There's no excuses," Clay told NJ Advance Media. "You come in as a punter returner, the first thing you are supposed to do is catch the ball.
