Giants’ Jon Halapio seen as one of NFL’s top 5 rising players

Over the past several seasons, one of the New York Giants’ most glaring weaknesses has been their offensive line. They weren’t opening holes for the running game nor giving quarterback Eli Manning sufficient time to throw. In short, they have been losing in trenches.

Last year, Gettleman beefed up the left side of the line with free agent tackle Nate Solder and rookie guard Will Hernandez. This year, he got right guard Kevin Zeitler in a trade and signed veteran right tackle Mike Remmers in free agency.

One of the keys to a successful offensive line is a solid center.
