The NFL trade deadline came and went Tuesday afternoon with neither the woebegone Giants (2-6) nor Jets (1-6) making moves, and it didn’t take long for those who found themselves in the rumor mill to react to news they’d be staying put in MetLife Stadium.
There was Jets star safety Jamal Adams went scorched earth, tweeting Tuesday that Jets GM Joe Douglas “went behind my back” in trying to trade him.
Adams said he told Jets brass last week he wanted to remain with the organization, but rumors swirled on deadline day that the Jets were talking with the Ravens and Cowboys in regards to a possible deal for the 24-year-old star safety.
