EAST RUTHERFORD -- The Giants deemed that Janoris Jenkins was not healthy enough to play in last Thursday's 24-19 loss to the Eagles. His status for this Sunday's game against the Redskins is still to be determined.
Jenkins was a game-time decision on Thursday with a bruised back that he suffered in Week 15. Jenkins worked out on the field 2-1/2 hours before kickoff under the supervision of head coach Ben McAdoo, general manager Jerry Reese, strength coach Aaron Wellman and cornerbacks coach Tim Walton.
"I didn't feel he was ready," McAdoo said of the decision to deactivate Jenkins for the game.
