It was no accident that Victor Cruz wore a red, No. 45 Chicago Bulls jersey to the podium on Thursday. The Michael Jordan wardrobe signaled one thing: Cruz is back.
“I felt like it was a little symbolism for today,” Cruz said. “The return was definitely on my mind.”
The star wide receiver estimates that he is “around 93%” healthy in his return from the devastating knee injury he suffered in Week 6 last season and hopes to be at 100% when the new season begins. He was all smiles when he and the Giants went through a conditioning evaluation.
