Jon Beason did not practice for a second straight day on Thursday. But the Giants middle linebacker is still hoping to suit up on Sunday against the Saints in New Orleans.
"That is the plan," Beason said. "Feeling better every day. It happens when you play a lot of reps."
"I'm just a little sore," he added. "We're trying to be smart and I'm trying to make it to Sunday."
Beason has been battling a nagging ankle injury he suffered in last Sunday's 27-20 win over the Dallas Cowboys, although on Thursday, he walked around the practice field slowly, with his left knee wrapped.
