Giants Insider: Big Blue to honor Super Bowl XXV champs

It's the 25th anniversary of one of the most successful teams in Giants history, the Super Bowl XXV champion squad of 1990. And Big Blue plans to celebrate on Sunday.

During the home opener against the Atlanta Falcons, the Giants will honor the team that won the second of the franchise's four titles with a special halftime ceremony, as well as several video tributes at other points during the game.

Hall of Fame coach Bill Parcells and linebacker Lawrence Taylor are expected to be in attendance as are former linebacker Carl Banks, running back and Super Bowl XXV MVP Ottis Anderson and Jeff Hostetler, the quarterback who filled in late in the regular season and throughout the playoffs in 1990, after a foot injury felled Phil Simms.
