The Giants and Jets will play each other in the regular season this year, perhaps taking some of the juice out of their annual preseason matchup. But any game between the two teams can create divides among families. That's what Giants corner Prince Amukamara understands from his four-plus years in the NFL.
"For our fans it's a huge game," Amukamara said Thursday. "A Jets-Giants game can split families, so I've heard. I've never played against a rivalry being at Nebraska. We were the only team there. I'm excited about this game."
Amukamara says he's "completely over" the groin injury that he sustained earlier in training camp and he will play against the Jets on Saturday.
