Alec Ogletree wanted to play every snap for the Giants this season.
Instead the inside linebacker and co-captain is going to miss at least one entire game.
Ogletree (hamstring) was ruled out Friday for Sunday's game against the Redskins, which means the Giants will have at least three new starters. Cornerback Eli Apple and nose tackle Damon Harrison were traded earlier this week.
"We'll put the next guys in," coach Pat Shurmur said. "It will be a job share."
Who is the next guy?
B.J. Goodson starts in the 3-4 defense but goes to the bench in sub packages, playing 41 percent of the defensive snaps.
