Giants’ injury report, 9/19: Eli Apple “probably” won’t practice Wednesday

New York Giants cornerback Eli Apple “probably” will not practice Wednesday due to the groin injury he suffered Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys, coach Pat Shurmur said during his morning press conference. Linebacker Olivier Vernon, who has yet to play this season due to an ankle injury “will try to do more,” but Shurmur did not sound as optimistic about Vernon as he had at this time last week.

Apple, a third-year corner and 2016 first-round pick, has been playing well so far this season.
