The New York Giants saw two reserve players fighting to make the 53-man roster go down with major injuries on Saturday.
Second-year linebacker T.J. Brunson suffered a torn ACL. Veteran defensive back Joshua Kalu suffered a torn pectoral muscle.
Those two players were competing for spots as backups/special teams players.
The Giants have to trim their roster from 90 to 85 players on Tuesday. Those two players will likely head to injured reserve.
Offensive lineman Kyle Murphy (ankle) and tight end Cole Hikutini (hip) also left the game with injuries. No word on them at this point.
