Giants injury news: Malik Nabers clears concussion protocol

The New York Giants finally got some good news on the injury front, with rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers clearing the NFL concussion protocol. The team made that announcement Thursday evening.

Nabers suffered his concussion Sept. 26 against the Dallas Cowboys and missed the last two games.

The star receiver’s return for Sunday’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles is welcome news. The Giants this week lost left tackle Andrew Thomas for the season following a Lisfranc injury. Edge defender Kayvon Thibodeaux and placekicker Graham Gano are on IR.

Defensive stars Dexter Lawrenc (hip) and Brian Burns (groin) did not practice on Thursday, missing a second straight day.
