Injuries have plagued the New York Giants this offseason and there were a few more notable shake-ups in Sunday’s preseason finale against the New England Patriots.
Tight end Evan Engram left the game in the second quarter with a calf injury.
Engram made three catches for 22 yards before limping off the field and being quickly ruled out of the game. Engram was Jones’ most-targeted receiver last season and earned a Pro Bowl nomination due to his performance. This injury is a cause for concern as the Giants’ tight end position continues to look increasingly thin with the foot injury to Kyle Rudolph and the season-ending Achilles injury to Levine Toilolo.
