New York Giants rookie cornerback DeAndre Baker, the 30th overall selection in the 2019 NFL Draft, is headed for an MRI on his knee.
Baker seemed to come out of Thursday’s preseason opener against the New York Jets fine. He reportedly “felt something” in his knee during warm-ups prior to Sunday’s practice and will go for tests.
This “uh-oh” news about Baker, the team’s starting cornerback opposite veteran Janoris Jenkins, worsens an already tenuous situation at cornerback for the Giants.
Grant Haley missed Thursday’s game with a shoulder and Sam Beal sat out with hamstring and groin issues.
