Giants' injuries: Currie, Jackson join list of injured safeties

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Brittle New York Giants middle linebacker Jon Beason left the team's preseason game against the Jacksonville Jaguars in the first half with a knee sprain. Beason could be seen on the bench with a wrap on the injured knee.

Beason played only four games last season due to a toe injury. He was replaced by Jameel McClain.

The Giants also lost a pair of other players to injury in the first quarter of Saturday's preseason game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Veteran linebacker Mark Herzlich sustained a concussion on the opening kickoff.
