The Giants announced six players as inactive for Thursday night's preseason opener against the Cleveland Browns at MetLife Stadium, and wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. was surprisingly not among them.
It remains to be seen whether Beckham actually plays, given the fact that negotiations on a long-term contract extension are ongoing, following an ESPN report earlier in the afternoon that the plan was for him not to suit up.
Beckham was on the field going through individual drills during pre-game warmups and in full uniform.
The six players listed as inactive are:
WR: Travis Rudolph
DB: William Gay
S: Curtis Riley
CB: Donte Deayon
TE: Ryan O'Malley
LB: Thurston Armbrister
The Giants moved Gay to safety earlier this week, prior to the veteran cornerback suffering a hamstring injury that kept him out of the last several practices.
